At the core of its mission to help build a healthier and more sustainable entertainment industry, MPii engages in ongoing research in the areas of story development, finance and production, marketing and distribution and film theory & criticism, and other aspects of the trade.

The results of our research are put into the workshops and trainings that we offer.

This research is conducted via:

  • Survey and interview data collection, including our famous “roundtable” focus groups
  • Evaluation of statistical data
  • Field testing
  • Piloting and experimenting with new processes

While we don’t endorse specific products or services, we often work in partnership with the major industry guilds, unions, trade associations, universities and companies in the industry.
